I received the Ergonomic Seated Snugli as a shower gift. If you put the Snugli right next to the Ergobaby you will see that they are pretty much identical in shape and size. The Snugli waist is the same shape but the padding is much softer whereas the Ergo waist padding is firm. The straps of the Snugli are narrower.
The Snugli does not have and elastic stop on the waist buckle and it also does not have a sleep hood. It has the same buckles as the Ergo, it buckles on the straps, the straps buckle together in the back and the waist has the large buckle on it. The Snugli does have a large zipper pocket in the front and a really nice design with shimmer to it. The fabric doesn't seem to be quite as nice as the Ergo, but the inside is nice and soft. The carrier seems very sturdy and well-made.
I used the Snugli as my inside the house carrier while I left the Ergo in the car. I purchased an additional Ergobaby infant insert from a garage sale to use in the Snugli and it worked perfectly. Honestly, the Snugli waist feels better on me because I am small-framed. The Ergobaby waist is very structured and because the carrier is big on me, the waist tends to bulge in places. The Snugli waist does not do that because it is softly padded.
The lack of elastic on the waist buckle could be a safety issue should the buckle fail, but I find it easier for quick up and downs not to have it. The buckles seem very sturdy so I'm not worried that they will fail.
There is a nice loop on the carrier where you can hang toys.

Wider straps are supposed to be better for weight distribution, but I find the narrower straps to be more comfortable for my small frame. The Ergonomic Snugli is a good carrier and we use it in the house all the time! My baby girl loves to fall asleep in it and she seems to be just as comfortable in it as the Ergo. The lack of hood doesn't bother me because we use it in the house. You can do front, back and hip carries with it and also cross the straps if you need to.
You can find the Ergonomic Seated Snugli on amazon.com for just under $50, which is a good deal if you consider that the Ergobaby costs $100 at least. It seems as safe as the Ergobaby although the quality seems slightly cheaper in materials. I would definitely recommend this carrier as a cost-effective way to wear your baby in an ergonomic position.
